The Inside Scoop (May, 2014)

This month marks one year that Martin Malmberg has been the leader of YWAM Las Vegas. He leads an organization with six ministries, fifteen staff, hundreds of volunteers, and a large facility. I’m sure you can imagine this is no small task. Please be praying for him, Eliangela (Martin’s wife) and Naomi and Olivia (their two girls).

Take a moment and share in all that God has been doing here at YWAM Vegas the past several months:

STORIES OF REDEMPTION are coming in on a daily bases from our Discipleship Training School (DTS). One student had her hearing completely restored in one ear. We had it tested and later confirmed that she can hear out of both ears. Another student prayed for a man in our neighborhood who was limping along using a walker, but nothing happened. The next day the student met that same guy man at the bus stop. He had no walker and no limp. God is certainly still in the business of miracles!

OUR FOSTER CONNECT ministry continues to place hundreds of kids into foster homes. We pioneered our very first Orphan Care Discipleship Training School alongside this ministry. Pray for our team as the reach the most vulnerable among us in Mexico and Costa Rica. Follow this link to a video about our very own Ray and Clare Biggerstaff (the founders of Foster Connect) receiving the “Acts of Kindness” award.

OUR COMMUNITY RESOURCE CENTER continues to relationally help 500 locals per month with food assistance and youth activities and teen mentoring.

RESCUENET our international crisis team has had several deployments in 2013 including to the super typhoon in the Philippines. They are currently running a training session in Costa Rica to expand trained crisis teams into Latin America.

This month our base was also blessed to have a special time to hangout with Loren Cunningham, founder and father of YWAM. Pictured here are some of our staff and close friends.
